InGARSS 2020 is now a virtual meeting

Last Updated: 10 July, 2020

In light of the difficulties that the research community has encountered in conducting research and preparing papers in the past months since the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, and considering that the pandemic’s impacts on gatherings may continue well into the future, the InGARSS 2020 organizing committee has decided that holding a successful and engaging symposium in person as planned is not possible.

The committee is excited to transform the situation into something positive and to restructure the event to become a virtual conference experience, including exhibits, tutorials, lectures, discussion forums, GRSS celebrity interviews, competitions and challenges with prizes, depending on the interest in them. The details will be worked out in the coming months, and communicated. We anticipate that the dates will remain Dec 1-5, 2020. We look forward to seeing you there online.

Papers already submitted to InGARSS 2020 will go through the review process as planned should the authors choose to publish in IEEE Xplore. We are extending the submission deadline to July 15, 2020 for the convenience of those authors. Otherwise, we understand if the authors would prefer to withdraw their paper and submit it elsewhere.

An in-person InGARSS 2021 will be held in Dec 2021 assuming the world has returned to a situation where in-person gatherings are more certain and safe.

Wishing you the best of health and good preparation for InGARSS 2021!
